DDLJ is a film that would take on any opera buffa by Rossini in a competition for smiling so much it hurts. This 1995 musical romance is the perfect blend of intoxicating musical numbers, a feuding couple who are obviously going to fall for each other, and an amalgam of social and generational conflicts. DDLJ is easily one of the most successful masala films (because they contain a ‘little bit of everything’) in a tradition of unmistakably Indian musical films that goes back to the beginning of cinematic sound.

COME FALL IN LOVE, ALL OVER AGAIN.. Raj is a rich, carefree, happy-go-lucky second generation NRI. Simran is the daughter of Chaudhary Baldev Singh, who in spite of being an NRI is very strict about adherence to Indian values. Simran has left for India to be married to her childhood fiancé. Raj leaves for India with a mission at his hands, to claim his lady love under the noses of her whole family. Thus begins a saga.
