Congratulations to the 703 volunteers who worked the 2009 Seattle International Film Festival! Thanks to you, we had a very successful Festival with many satisfied patrons and guests. We could not have done this without you!
This year our volunteers ushered in the theaters, worked the will call tables, delivered the films to the venues, drove guests to and from the airport and around town, photographed events, answered phones and sold tickets, distributed SIFF guides around the city, served beverages and food at the galas, loaded in and out of the venues, sold catalogs, asked for donations, greeted guests, introduced films, proofread publications, stuffed gift bags, laminated signs, and helped us out with many other miscellaneous (but necessary) tasks that come along with presenting the largest and longest-running film festival in the US.
There are many volunteer opportunities available throughout the year with SIFF. We are always looking for volunteers to help out with delivering our SIFF Cinema calendars throughout the city and ushering at SIFF Cinema.
The best way to get started is to register with Shiftboard, our on-line scheduler at www.shiftboard.com/siff/register.html. Once your registration has been processed, you will have access to our volunteer calendar and can begin signing up for shifts.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about volunteering with SIFF, or if you need help with Shiftboard.
