April 12 - 25, 2013

Spain | 2012 | 104 Minutes | Pablo Berger

Final days - must end Thursday April 25! Winner of 10 Goya Awards, including Best Film, this marvelous Spanish fairy tale retells the story of "Snow White" in the style of classic European silent cinema, and features a rhythmic Flamenco soundtrack.

Set in a romanticized 1920s Seville, director Pablo Berger's Blancanieves follows Carmen (Macarena García), the daughter of a famous bullfighter, who lives under the tyrannical rule of her monstrous, evil stepmother (a captivating Maribel Verdú). She escapes and joins a troupe of bullfighting dwarves, where her beauty and natural talent in the ring make her a legend.

"Witty, riveting, and drop-dead gorgeous...moviegoers may forget to notice that they can't hear the dialogue" - Chuck Wilson, Village Voice
