When you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way… And when it's a classic like West Side Story, it's a must to see on the big screen in original, dazzling widescreen glory. The hit Broadway musical featuring iconic songs by Leonard Bernstein and lyricist Stephen Sondheim beautifully made the leap to acclaimed film production under the guidance of veteran director Robert Wise, with assitance from the original Broadway director and choreographer Jerome Robbins.

The cast featured an array of talented newcomers who became screen legends, including George Chakiris, Richard Beymer, Russ Tamblyn, future EGOT holder Rita Moreno, and Natalie Wood (who landed the role by accident while helping her then-boyfriend Warren Beatty audition for the lead).
