For over a decade, beginning with L'Auberge Espagnole (2002) and continuing in Russian Dolls (2005), Cédric Klapisch has followed the professional and romantic travails of writer Xavier. In the final film of his trilogy, Xavier’s ex-wife Wendy (Kelly Reilly) moves their young children to New York City, and he has no option but to uproot himself in order to win them back. Xavier’s previous friends return, and new ones are introduced, all providing delightful company whether you’re encountering them for the first time or catching up with a series you’ve followed for years.
"Settle back and savor Mr. Klapisch's valentine to New York and appreciate its rose-colored vision of the city as seen through European eyes." - Stephen Holden, New York Times
