The Fourth Man
A tormented, alcoholic novelist (Jeroen Krabbe) who claims in his stories "lie the truth," is seduced by a fan in the audience at one of his speaking engagements. He soon finds himself trapped in a nightmare of blasphemy, bloodshed and bisexual desire. What's more, his recurrent visions/hallucinations tell him that this sexy widow may be a cold-blooded killer.
The Fourth Man had its US premiere at SIFF in 1983, which was a part of SIFF's pioneering efforts to bring Dutch cinema to Seattle.
