I'm Galen Brandwarden, inheritor of Ulrich's craft and knowledge, and I am the sorcerer you seek.
In the territory of Urland, its citizens are stuck in an unending cycle: Sacrifice a virgin to appease an ancient dragon or allow their kingdom to burn to the ground. But all is not lost, because wizard apprentice Galen (Peter MacNicol from Ghostbusters II and Ally McBeal) is on his way to save the day with his mentor’s amulet in hand, a cross-dressing adventurer by his side, and a belly full of dragon-slaying ire within. Based very loosely on the legend of St. George, co-produced by Disney and Paramount, and featuring Industrial Light & Magic's exquisite special effects, this stirring, exciting fantasy yarn from the director of *batteries not included and The Legend of Billie Jean is an underpraised '80s gem. - Marcus Gorman
