They sent in their best man, and when we roll across the 69th Street bridge tomorrow, on our way to freedom, we're going to have their best man leading the way - from the neck up! On the hood of my car!
1997. New York City has become so overrun by crime that it is walled off and turned into a maximum-security prison. When the President's plane is hijacked and forced to land in the midst of Manhattan, there is only one man who can save him: Snake Pliskin (Kurt Russell), an ex-special forces agent turned criminal who knows how to navigate this violent criminal world. Snake is forced to race against the clock (or rather the explosives injected into his bloodstream), defeat the Duke of New York (Isaac Hayes), save the President, and maybe dole out a little revenge along the way. John Carpenter's dystopian action adventure not only introduced the world to super bad-ass Snake Pliskin, but presented a vision of New York City that still haunts us to this day.
