SIFF operates the gorgeously appointed, luxuriously comfortable, 400-stadium seat SIFF Cinema at Seattle Center’s Marion Oliver McCaw Hall.
SIFF Cinema has been designed to be a world-class state-of-the-art cinema with archival print-ready projection and sound systems that perfectly complement the great sightlines, excellent acoustics, and comfortable seats of the Nesholm Family Lecture Hall located within Seattle Center’s McCaw Hall. In addition to the two 35mm projectors, the theater has been equipped with the new Sony SRXR210 digital projector, capable of delivering an amazing picture – more than four times the resolution of full HDTV. The sound system has been installed to meet LucasFilm THX Sound specifications, featuring top-of-the-line JBL 3-way speakers and surround system powered by Dolby Digital Sound processing with Crown’s DSI cinema amplifiers, providing perfect coverage in every seat of the auditorium, with an equal wide dynamic range and extended bandwidth, as well as providing inaudible levels of distortion.
