  • Beyond Borders

The goal of this program is to expand perspectives by exploring what's going on with skateboarding on other continents, both for fun and for meaningful purposes. Discover how a village in Uganda built their own skatepark by hand or what's possible with a camera, two brothers and three full days in Dubai.

  • Profiles

Learn the true stores behind legendary and contemporary skateboarders and companies -- from artists like Don Pendleton to pioneers like Christian Hosoi. Stories include a 10-minute interview with east coast pro, Danny Supa, to a documentary about the rise, drug-related downfall, and redemption of four of skateboarding's founders.

  • Skateboard Film Festival Opening Night

The Skateboard Film Festival kicks off with a section of short films followed by the local premier of A Day at the Park, a portrait of the skateboard scene from over 30 skateparks in the greater Seattle area.

  • Skatopia: 88 Acres of Anarchy

Start on a road trip with director Steve Marino and friends as they drive and skateboard their way through the southern and midwestern United States. The night caps off with a special west coast screening of "Skatopia: 88 Acres of Anarchy," which explores an 88-acre skateboarding compound in rural Ohio that is entirely run by a volunteer labor force of locals and underground skateboarders.

  • Spatial Notions

Follow skateboarding filmmakers as they produce short "sponsor me" segments, travel on epic road trips, gain access to mansions with pristine pools and discuss how they contemplate landscapes and architecture that the average person might overlook.

  • Viva La France

What can we say? We love the French. We were pleasantly surprised by the many French film submissions, and international submissions overall, for the festival's inaugural event. Noted for their smooth style, attention to technical detail and creativity these short French films will make you want to book a flight France to skate the ancient streets of Paris.
