Rialto Pictures came into being ten years ago with a magnificent mission—to revive and restore classic films! Some of which had virtually disappeared from the culture, extraordinary films that hadn't been seen in theaters since their original release but promised enormous rewards for modern audiences. With an eye for meticulous detail, Rialto took care with striking pristine, often restored prints with superior, freshly-translated subtitles. American film culture is indebted to this small, committed company that has introduced a new generation of filmgoers to the works of the masters—Robert Bresson, Luis Buñuel, Jean-Luc Godard, Jules Dassin, and Federico Fellini to name a few—as they were meant to be seen.
