An extraordinary portrait of legendary Memphis-based band Big Star with never-before-seen footage, rousing musical tributes, and in-depth interviews with members of the band and the musicians they’ve inspired.

This documentary examines the life of author Alice Walker, who became the first black woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for her novel The Color Purple in 1983. Director Pratibha Parmar focuses on Walker’s inspirational upbringing during years of violent social changes, and her political and social activism.

With nobody to turn to but each other, a group of repressed gay teens form an after-school club in this adaptation of the cherished 2003 young adult novel by Seattle-based author Brent Hartinger. Ages 13+
