FutureWave Shorts and Best of NFFTY
SIFF is proud to present FutureWave Shorts 2013, a program of new films created by filmmakers younger than 19 years old who talents celebrate the creative possibilities of the art form. This year we are also showcasing a selection of the best films from the National Film Festival for Talented Youth.

These inspiring original short films represent some of the best short filmmaking from around the world. Also included in the program will be the J. Michael Award winner from the Seattle Times Three-Minute Masterpiece digital film contest, and the 2012 MOHAI "History Is..." Competition Youth Winner.
The WaveMaker Award for Excellence in Youth Filmmaking will be presented to a film chosen in recognition of its artistic and technical achievement. In addition to the recognition award, TheFilmSchool will also be providing a scholarship to their Prodigy Camp, a weeklong, immersive overnight film camp for youth ages 12-18 held in late July.
BEST OF NFFTY - Two brothers take a once-in-a-lifetime road trip to transition into the next stages of their lives - but not in the way they'd originally planned.
BEST OF NFFTY - Kachho Gadulo is a story about the vibrant and diverse culture of India, as seen through a young child's free and beautiful imagination.
BEST OF NFFTY - Dick is a stubborn, grumpy old fart who is stuck in the past. For Dick, every day carries with it the potential to be a glory day and today's just the day to prove it!
BEST OF NFFTY - A look into the mind of Yusuf, a poor child living in a third world country but dreaming of a better life.
