Rocket Science
This ingenious and disarmingly quirky film from writer/director Jeffrey Blitz (Spellbound) is a bittersweet Election-like comedy about a young stutterer trying to make it in the cutthroat world of highschool debate. Moving beyond the clichés of most coming-of-age films, this perfectly (and hilariously) nails the dilemmas and ironies of adolescence, love and self-realization.
