The Fever of '57
On the 50th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik, this documentary chronicles the dramatic events that followed man’s first entry into space: from the sense of wonder at the suddenly broadened scope of humankind, to escalating tensions and fears as a frantic race to develop rockets and bombs ensued.
Director David Hoffman is scheduled to attend both screenings.
