“The colour and pageantry of 12th century Mongolia provide a beautiful canvas to this dramatization of the early life of Temudgin, the great Genghis Khan. The year hopping is better done than most and from Temudgin’s birth in 1162 we follow what is admittedly a pretty tragic youth for the future”
