“Werner gets personal with inhabitants of the McMurdo Antarctic base, people and animals. Once he brings the cameras out of the dirty mining town that is the main base, the vistas are amazing. The various people ("PhDs doing dishes", etc.) and their reasons for winding up in the most desolate place”
