“Ahh, the trials of a colonial overlord. A British planter building a road in 1930's Kerala has strong relations with a local village, one of the good guys. As the movie progresses his biases and blind spots build into tragedy for all that he touches, in a heartbreaking intersection of two”

“I unfortunately missed watching this movie while at SIFF, but caught it the other night at one of the Landmark Theaters in Seattle, who also play some of the best SIFF films.
This movie was hands down not one to be missed. It had all the right elements, including romance, social issues, great”
