Emmanuel Jal: War Child

Emmanuel Jal was one of the many thousands of child soldiers who fought during the brutal two-decade civil war in Sudan. His survival was a long shot. His becoming one of Africa’s biggest hip-hop stars is even more incredible. This moving documentary traces Emmanuel’s remarkable story of survival and his redemption through positive music.

In the course of the film, Jal” … full review
