Romeo and Juliet

It is by no means the only film version of Shakespeare’s legendary star-crossed lovers, but Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 interpretation of is considered by many to be the quintessential portrayal of the Bard’s tale. Zeffirelli was awarded two Oscars and three Golden Globes for the film, which is frequently cited as one of the all-time greatest films in cinematic history. New 35mm print!
