Sadly, one of the great Dutch directors that embraced SIFF from the very beginning passed away this past February. Breathtaking, intense, captivating, powerful, masterpiece: These are just a few of the words that come to mind when trying to describe this crowning achievement by Fons Rademakers. This sumptuous epic was shot entirely in Indonesia by the brilliant Jan de Bont and features a most charismatic performance from lead actor Peter Faber.
