Welcome!
SIFF’s volunteer work force is key to the success of our year-round operations and the Seattle International Film Festival. Our year-round volunteers assist us at SIFF Cinema, in our offices, and at our special events. During the Festival, we are dependant on the generosity of more than 800 volunteers who last year filled 6,512 shifts and contributed more than 16,900 hours doing various tasks at the theaters, Galas and events, and in our offices.
Anyone can volunteer, from students (many of our volunteers earn community service hours and/or college credit) to retirees, from newbies to Festival passholders. Our volunteers meet tons of people and, of course, see great films.
How to Volunteer
 If you are a new SIFF Volunteer, please register with Shiftboard, our on-line scheduler. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a welcome letter from us with your log-in and password information. You can then access your account to join teams, view our calendar, and pick up shifts. (If you have volunteered with us in the past, and already have a SIFF Shiftboard account, you do not need to re-register.)
Volunteer Voucher Policy
For every two hours you volunteer, you will receive a voucher that can be exchanged for a ticket to a film. These vouchers can be used at the 2012 Festival, all year long at SIFF Cinema, or donated back to SIFF in exchange for a Membership.

SIFF Cinema
SIFF offers a unique opportunity for our Festival volunteers to extend their Festival experience year round. Vouchers earned during Festival can be used to see new foreign and independent films as well as archival presentations of classic cinema at SIFF Cinema! Just exchange your vouchers for tickets at the SIFF Cinema box office.
