Voting Questions

How do I vote?

You’ll be able to vote on films directly within the viewing platform via a 5-star rating system. Just click the star rating located under the description on the film’s landing page. (The stars may be difficult to see on light colored images.)

Voting for some films is not supporting on some TV apps, if you'd like to cast a vote, head to watch.siff.net in a web browser and select your star rating.

For short film programs, you'll find the stars underneath each short film description, listed on the short film package landing page.

Feel free to add or change your ratings up until 11:59pm PT on Saturday, April 17, at which point ratings will be pulled and tallied.

There will be no write-in voting for Actor, Actress, or Director this year.

General Questions

Why did you move the dates?

We considered a wide variety of date possibilities and felt we could present the best Virtual Festival within the date range of April 8-18, 2021. This affords SIFF the opportunity to feature films in advance of the 2021 Academy Awards and encourage audiences to engage virtually before the Seattle weather gets nice.

What happens to my volunteer vouchers?

All hardcopy ticket vouchers associated with volunteer shifts will be extended through June 30, 2021, so they can be utilized at the 2021 Virtual Festival. Email boxoffice@siff.net to redeem your vouchers.

Will there be a Secret Festival at the 2021 Festival?

Unfortunately, due to the logistical constraints of the virtual format, we are not able to present a Secret Festival in 2021.
