Seattleites see more films per capita than the residents of any other American city, and a growing number of these selections have their roots in the fertile Pacific Northwest film community.
In the documentary section, we have profiles on the Gorge Amphitheatre, former Seahawk Marshawn Lynch, legendary ski and snowboarding filmmaker Warren Miller, and the indefatigable Patrinell Wright and her Total Experience Gospel Choir. In narrative features, we have the rediscovered Seattle-shot sci-fi silent film As the Earth Turns, the romantic dramedy Good Kisser, the vigilante justice thriller We Take the Low Road, and our opening night film Sword of Trust directed by Seattle-based filmmaker Lynn Shelton.
