Ibero-American Competition

Films from Latin America, Spain, and Portugal once again thrilled the world’s audiences paving a remarkable path as one of the most sought-after film cultures in the world.

SIFF created the Ibero-American Competition to celebrate the power, originality and influence of the storytelling talent in the region. This year, we are proud to be showcasing 22 films from the Spanish-and Portuguese-speaking world, with nine narrative features and documentaries in competition.

The winner as chosen by a jury will be announced at the Golden Space Needle Awards and receives a cash prize of $2,500.
