SEATTLE -- September 2, 2014 -- On October 3, SIFF Cinema Egyptian will open its doors at its historic location at 801 East Pine Street.

The theatre kicks off with an opening weekend (October 3 - 5) of community screenings featuring the biggest movie hits in the history of the Egyptian, including the theatre's longest running film (Amélie), the first movie to play at the Egyptian (Akira Kurosawa's Kagemusha), and a special tribute to Bruce Lee, co-presented by the Wing Luke Museum.

SIFF Cinema comes to Capitol Hill full time thanks to the community who helped raise the funds necessary to bring this classic cinema back to life. To meet its new neighbors, SIFF Cinema Egyptian offers admission to the Oct 3 - 5 screenings for $5 or FREE with a receipt from any Capitol Hill business (dated October 1 - 5, 2014).
