Founded in 1952 in the Montlake neighborhood, MOHAI has grown to become the largest heritage organization in Washington State. The museum boasts nearly 4 million historic artifacts and photographs, and draws thousands of visitors each year to its permanent and rotating exhibits. The museum also runs an extensive array of public and youth programs. These include MOHAI Pub Trivia, neighborhood walking tours, the History Is__ Film Competition, Movies at Lake Union Park, the award-winning video series MOHAI Minutes, and many more. MOHAI is a Smithsonian affiliate.
