You may think Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito are the most opposite people in the world… but in the 80s and 90s, this unlikely pair starred as one of film history’s most charming buddy duos in a variety of unbelievable scenarios. We’ll pit 1988’s Twins (starring Schwarzenegger and DeVito as literal twins) against 1994’s Junior (in which our fertility scientist DeVito gets Schwarzenegger pregnant!!!). Choose your fighter as we investigate the staying power of a good buddy movie across the ages through these delightful and bizarre comedic romps.

About the Instructor:

Hannah Baek is a film programmer specializing in Asian cinema and interactive film screenings. She received a master’s degree from Harvard’s Regional Studies East Asia program, where she studied gender queerness in the "Dark Ages" of 1970s South Korean cinema. Most recently, she has worked with the Seattle Art Museum, SIFF, Sundance Film Festival, the Harvard Film Archive, and MUBI.
