Winner of the Sundance Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award, this funny and tender look at the friendships that shape us follows a pair of best friends and goofy filmmakers who form an unexpected bond with a girl in their class who was just diagnosed with cancer.

This uniquely funny and moving coming-of-age story follows Greg (Thomas Mann), a high school senior who is trying to navigate the social minefield that is teenage life. Rather than spend time with other kids in school, Greg and his best friend Earl(RJ Cyler), make hilariously juvenile spoofs of classic films with titles like A Sockwork Orange, Pooping Tom, and Senior Citizen Kane.

But then Greg's mom insists that Greg come out of his shell and spend time with Rachel, a girl in his class who has just been diagnosed with cancer. Begrudgingly the two friends start to visit Rachel, and find an unexpected kindred spirit who leads them on a journey to discover about how worthwhile the true bonds of friendship can be.
