In this sweet, deadpan, love story from Norwegian master Bent Hamer (Kitchen Stories), recently divorced scientist Marie travels to France to recalibrate the National Norwegian kilo, where she unexpectedly meets a kindly Parisian and finds love amid the beauty of the City of Lights.

This charming, observational love story from Norwegian master Bent Hamer (Kitchen Stories), introduces Marie, a lonely, recently divorced scientist, who works with her father in a government organization whose purpose is to maintain a truly precious object: the Norwegian prototype kilogram. When Marie is selected to take the prize kilo to Paris for an international conference on weights and measures, she makes a surprising connection with a kindly, French groundskeeper(Laurent Stocker) who seems to be her opposite - which may be the very chemistry she has been searching for. Influenced by the absurdist-observational style of Jacques Tati, Hamer crafts a story that is wry, sweet, and unexpectedly poetic.
