Gonzo Japanese director Takashi Miike returns with one of his most insane and unpredictable films yet: a comedic vampire thriller, gangster epic, martial-arts extravaganza, and end-of-the-world spectacle all rolled into one!

In the ruthless underground world of the yakuza, no one is more legendary than boss Kamiura. Rumored to be invincible, the truth is he is a vampire-a bloodsucking yakuza vampire boss! But the foreign syndicate is unafraid, and they hire the seemingly unstoppable Kyoken (Yayan Ruhian of The Raid) to rip the boss limb from limb. With his dying breath, boss Kamiura passes on his vampire powers to his loyal lieutenant, Kageyama (Hayato Ichihara). His first order of business – REVENGE! – but a world-ending demon has other plans.

“The all-out war that ensues includes some of the most ridiculous, over-the-top and crazy shit Miike has ever gifted to willing audiences. You want a giant, ass-kicking frog? Miike’s got you covered. You want dancing, underwear-clad kids sprouting from the earth? Yep, check that one off too. You want… well, we’re not going to give anything else away. Just know that Miike is way ahead of just about anything you can think of on this one.” – Fantastic Fest
