The Dog Film Festival
June 26, 2016
SIFF Cinema Uptown | Visiting Program
The world's first film festival for, by and about dogs and their people presented in a Bring-Your-Own-Dog Celebration, The Dog Film Festival features two different 90-minute programs of short, canine-themed films – animated, live action and documentary. 50% of net proceeds go to Seattle Humane, which will have adoptable dogs on hand, looking for their forever homes.
Tickets $20 per screening, $10 for Children under 12
For this special event canine moviegoers are welcome (at no extra charge!) along with their dog-loving human companions to walk the Green Carpet for photos.
4:00PM | Program #1: A child-friendly program of lighthearted animated and narrative films. The highlight of the screening is photographer William Wegman’s “The Hardly Boys in Hardly Gold,” a 30-minute film that he has re-mastered for the Festival.
6:30PM | Program #2: Short documentaries and more sophisticated narrative films (some are foreign language with subtitles – more challenging for younger viewers).
