In this imaginative, sometimes shocking, and unexpectedly funny coming-of-age story, an aspiring special-effects makeup artist struggling with his sexuality and his fear of his macho father turns for advice to his pet hamster Buffy (named for a certain Vampire Slayer), who hilariously speaks to him in the voice of Isabella Rossellini.

Artistically driven Oscar (Connor Jessup) is hovering on the brink of adulthood and struggling to find his place in the world after a rough childhood marked by a tragic incident. After he meets a mysterious an attractive new co-worker, Oscar follows the guidance of his pet hamster Buffy (voiced by Isabella Rossellini) and faces his demons to find the life he wants.

Writer/director Stephen Dunn, 26, grew up in a small Newfoundland town much like Oscar's, and presents this journey of self discovery through a wholly orignal and refreshingly offbeat sensibility—laced with cinematic visions from auteur horror films.
