April 12 - May 2, 2013

The true story of two men, the legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) and trailblazing Brooklyn Dodgers manager Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford), whose brave stand against prejudice forever changed the world by changing the game of baseball.

In 1947, Rickey broke Major League Baseball's infamous color line when he signed Jackie Robinson, putting them both in the firing lines. In the face of blatant racism, Robinson demonstrated tremendous courage and restraint, letting his talent take center stage and ultimately winning over his teammates and fans.

In 1997, Major League Baseball made Robinson's number, 42, the first in sports history to be universally retired. The only exception is every year on Jackie Robinson Day (April 15th), when players from every team proudly wear the number 42 to honor the man who altered the course of history.
