July 4 - 17, 2014

Final week, Ends July 17 | Fashion history and poignant romance come together for this audaciously colorful biopic of innovative haute couturier Yves Saint Laurent, revealing the truth behind the society parties, fashion shows, and sometimes-extreme perfectionism of a brilliant artist who reshaped the idea of "woman."

In January 1958, 21-year-old Yves Saint Laurent (Pierre Niney, in an uncanny performance) was unexpectedly called upon to oversee the legendary Paris fashion house established by recently deceased Christian Dior. All eyes turned to this very young assistant as he presented his first collection and instantly ascended to the uppermost realms of the fashion world. But Saint Laurent's real success came after meeting the erudite Pierre Bergé (Guillaume Gallienne), who would become the love of his life and partner in founding the Yves Saint Laurent Company, which would rapidly become one of the biggest luxury powerhouses on the planet.

Filled with color, romance, history, and, of course, haute couture, director Jalil Lespert's lively biopic is the captivating true story behind the making of a fashion icon.
