Following an earthquake that releases a poisonous gas high above the streets of Paris, a husband and wife team race against time to rescue their daughter, whose medical condition has her confined to an environmentally sealed containment tank located well within the danger zone. Further complicating things, Mathieu and Anna must abandon the temporary safety they've achieved in order to gather supplies for a more substantial familial retreat. With A Breath Away, director Daniel Roby has crafted a tautly-drawn, eco sci-fi thriller that relates to both the speed and unpredictability with which disaster can strike and the relative unpreparedness for such challenges to our resources.
