French Cinema Now Opening Night Film & Party

Legendary jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt spends his nights dazzling German-occupied Paris with his inventive, "hot" jazz, drawing the attention of the Nazis. When he refuses to change his music and go on tour in Germany, he and his family are forced to flee the city. Reda Kateb (A Prophet) delivers an elegant, nuanced performance, revealing a man whose resistance was his art.

Screening as part of French Cinema Now.
