Abbas (Eriq Ebouaney, The African Storm), a high school teacher from the Central African Republic, flees his war-torn country with his two children and moves to France, where he finds work at a food market while applying for political asylum. A coworker (Sandrine Bonnaire), falls in love with him and opens her home to them. When Abbas' application is rejected, they face a crucial decision.
