When French teenager Ady begins causing trouble in their neighborhood, his father sends him to visit his uncle Amadou in a remote village in Burkina Faso. Ady thinks that he's only going to be there for a week, but his father and Amadou have other plans. Forced to give up his first-world comforts, Ady will have to learn another way of living before he may return home.
