Phantom Mary is a Seattle based, Kickstarter backed dramatic horror production that explores the many facets of addiction, loss, and love over a multi-year period in the neighborhood of Capitol Hill.
Featuring a cast and crew comprised of local Seattle artists, bartenders, filmmakers, musicians, & everything in between, Phantom Mary is not only a painful love letter to the Hill, but also a snapshot of the burgeoning talent within it.
As a testament to this, Phantom Mary will be preceded by 2Nice's Daddy, a powerful, fragmented and frenetic Seattle based short that signals the striking style, atmosphere, and voice of these Capitol Hill(ywood) narratives.
Phantom Mary follows the titular Mary, a young vampire that has navigated the world for eons as a witness to better understand humanity. When faced with a tragic event one early morning, Mary chooses to go against the natural order setting off a chain of events that ripple throughout the community and those newly close to her.
Inspired by vampire films such as Only Lovers Left Alive and The Hunger as well as filmmakers such as Philippe Grandrieux, David Lynch, and Claire Denis, Phantom Mary is tale of love and loss throughout a supernatural and sleepless eternity.
