Punk rock loving high schooler Riff Randall (P.J. Soles) loses her damn mind when her favorite band The Ramones comes to play her town. The school Riff attends (Vince Lombardi High School) has just been taken over by the severely uncool Principal Togar (Mary Waronov), and conditions are quickly going south as their new headmistress attempts to quash the rock ‘n' roll proclivities of the student body. Just when things can't get any worse, Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, and Marky (The Ramones!!!) burst onto the scene, eating chicken and plying their punk rock chops around town, in Riff's dreams, and at a triumphant concert that powers the last act of the film.

"If Rock ‘n' Roll High School isn't the greatest rock and rebellion film of all time it is certainly on the short list, a pure, cheerfully juvenile blast of blitzkrieg guitar rock, Looney Tunes sight gags, teenage hormones, and rebellion angainst authority because it's there." - Sean Axmaker
