SIFF Cinema Egyptian
SIFF and the Film Noir Foundation presents the return of Noir City–now on the giant Egyptian screen! This year's festival features "Film Noir from A to B," with 18 classic films covering the most noir of decades, the 1940s. Many of these films are newly restored, and all will be introduced by our guest Eddie Muller, the incomparable Czar of Noir and impresario of Noir City. All shows presented on glorious 35mm film!

One of the most influential and magnificent Chinese wuxia films of all time returns is a dazzling new widescreen restoration. Director King Hu's 1967 classic follows a mysterious band of strangers who gather at the remote Dragon Gate Inn, where paths (and swords) cross in a stunning display of stylized action.

In King Hu’s grandest work, a fugitive noblewoman at risk of being captured and executed, hides in a small village and then must escape into the wilderness with a shy scholar and two aides. There, the quartet face a massive group of fighters and are joined by a band of Buddhist monks surprisingly skilled in the art of battle.
