Volunteer

SIFF Volunteers are key to the success of SIFF Cinema, Seattle International Film Festival, and SIFF Education.

Anyone at least 16 years old can volunteer, from students to retirees, from Festival newbies to Festival pass-holders. Our volunteers meet tons of people and, of course, see great films!

How to Volunteer

If you are a new SIFF Volunteer, please register with Shiftboard, our on-line scheduler. Once your registration is processed, you will receive a welcome e-mail from us (check your bulk/spam/junk folder!) that will include your new password. You can then access your account to join teams, view our calendar, and pick up shifts. If you have volunteered with us in the past, and already have a SIFF Shiftboard account, you do not need to re-register.

Register with Shiftboard.

Benefits of Volunteering at SIFF

Vouchers

SIFF is pleased to award our volunteers with vouchers that are redeemable for Festival and SIFF Cinema tickets - and SIFF Membership. For every two hours you volunteer, you will receive a voucher. One voucher equals one ticket. Five vouchers equal an Enthusiast Membership. Vouchers are transferable, but the sale of vouchers is strictly prohibited. Some programs and films prohibit the use of vouchers, please check listings.

SIFF Membership

You can redeem 5 vouchers to receive a one-year Enthusiast Membership or with an additional $70 you can upgrade to the Benefactor level. Download the Vouchers for Membership Form.

SIFF Employer Volunteer Matching

SIFF is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, tax ID 91-1489660 and is eligible for many employers' volunteer hour matching programs.

Many companies offer monetary contributions to registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations where their employees volunteer. These employer contributions are known by a few different names including volunteer grant programs, employee gift matching, and dollars for doers. All turn your volunteer hours with SIFF into dollars for SIFF.

Does your employer match your volunteer hours with SIFF? For information on employer volunteer hour matching, visit your Human Relations department or login to your workplace intranet.
