SIFF’s Cinema Italian Style festival returns to celebrate the best of Italian Cinema - November 10-17 at SIFF Cinema Uptown

SIFF’s weeklong Italian film festival returns for its 14th year, showcasing a striking lineup of 14 films and with the attendance of 3 filmmakers - tickets are on sale now

SEATTLE – SIFF’s 14th annual Cinema Italian Style Festival will return on November 10 and run through November 17, screening 14 films at SIFF Cinema Uptown with 8 titles available for streaming. Tickets for the festival, a celebration of the best Italian films of the year (I migliori film italiani di quest'anno), are on sale now.

“We’re proud to be bringing this festival back for its 14th year to showcase the absolute best in Italian Cinema,” says SIFF’s Programming Manager Stan Shields, “these films are captivating, heartbreaking, funny, inspiring, and bringing them to Seattle audiences is what SIFF is all about.”

The festival will open with Italy’s 2022 Official Oscar Submission & Nastro d’Argento Award Winner Nostalgia, and features Michelangelo Antonioni’s newly restored classic Red Desert, Gianni Amelio’s tale of Italian poet Aldo Braibanti in Lord of the Ants, Jasmine Trinca’s directorial debut Marcel!, and closing night film Breaking Up in Rome. Filmmakers will accompany a variety of screenings for greetings and audience Q&A’s including director Silvia Brunelli for Blessed Boys, Michele Vannucci for Delta, and Carolina Cavalli for Amanda.

Passes for the event are on sale for $75 for SIFF members and $100 for non-members. Tickets for individual in-person screenings and select virtual screenings are $9 for SIFF members (on sale October 20) and $14 for non-members (on sale October 21).

Streaming options will also be available for select films and dates on the SIFF Channel, SIFF’s online streaming portal, across the U.S. including Breaking Up in Rome, Like Turtles, The Code of SilenceThe Legionnaire, The Adventures of Gigi the Law, Blessed Boys, and Nostalgia (only available for streaming in WA state).
