40 Years of F'in Up: a film by NOFX
June 27, 2026
8pm | SIFF Cinema Uptown
Presented by NOFX. 40 Years of Fuckin' Up is Spinal Tap, but real. It's a film about the infamous, fairly un-famous, and beloved punk rock band NOFX. This is the unbelievable story about how a group of untalented drug-addled teenage punks somehow became the most successful independent band in history — and they did it haphazardly, entirely on their own.

This documentary was not designed to make the band bigger or stroke our egos or show how cool we are. This doc illustrates a different paradigm for the rock 'n' roll industry. No managers, no radio, no MTV, no signed record deals. NOFX had no idea how to be successful — but somehow became successful. That's what makes this film unique. And it's being released like no other film, completely owned and distributed by themselves.
