Thirty-five-year-old Palermo real estate agent Arturo lives a carefree life, with no lasting relationships and a passion for classic Sicilian pastries. His routine is disrupted when he meets Flora, the charming and determined daughter of a renowned local pastry shop owner and a fervent Catholic. To win her over, Arturo agrees to play Jesus in a Via Crucis procession, despite knowing almost nothing about religion. When Flora discovers the truth, Arturo makes an unusual commitment: for three weeks, he will follow the teachings of the Gospel to the letter, turning faith into action, with an unexpected spiritual mentor guiding him along the way: the Pope.
