We’re excited to end this year’s ParkPunks Family-Friendly Film Series with The Secret of Kells.
When a young boy’s village is visited by a master illustrator, he finds the adventure he’s been waiting for: A quest into the enchanted forest to complete the illustrator’s mysterious, unfinished book.

Young Brandon is not allowed to leave the Abbey of Kells, a remote village under siege by vikings. This changes when Aidan, a master book illustrator, arrives carrying the ancient and mysterious Book of Iona. To complete the book, he sends Brandon into the dangerous enchanted forest to find berries for ink, with the threat of vikings always present. The story and visuals are inspired by a beautifully illustrated manuscript from the 9th century, and the movie was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
