Visionary effects artist Douglas Trumbull attended the SIFF 2017 screening of his 1985 sci-fi film Brainstorm. Trumbull has worked in FX for several legendary films including 2001: A Space Odyssey and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. A post-film panel discussion explored how emerging technologies like VR, AR, and AI offer innovative ways to tell stories. Moderator: Di Dang.
